Do: preview

I'm working on a DIY project right now! Can you tell what's coming?

See: sweat

Blouse: Forever21; Pants: H&M; Jewelry: random; Shoes: Old Navy

This is what I wore on an unusually hot day to my interview with the Madewell people to be a student ambassador for the Kansas campus.  Key word: HOT
Halfway through the interview with two of the nicest and most approachable ladies I looked down only to see that I had sweated through my new top. This was the first time I wore this blouse as it had come in the mail just the day before, but I should have known: chiffon + blistering hot basement = big BIG sweat spots. It would have been 10x more embarrassing if these girls weren't so understanding and didn't laugh along with me.

I'm going home tomorrow and I caaan't wait! Hopefully I'll have time to take pics and blog, but I'll put a few on blast just so you fools have something to read.

Have an awesome weekend lovers.....yes, I know it's only Thursday...what's your point?

See & Hear: Lax in the 80s

Jeans: William Rast; Scarf: Urban Outfitters; Shirt: Vintage (dads); Loafers: Aldo;
Slingbag: H&M; Sunglasses: Ray Ban

Unfortunately, more awkward faces and poses. I finally got the hang of this tripod and remote thing so my following pictures should be A-OK. Been the busiest girl the past few days so I can't wait for the weekend. I get to go home for the weekend for the Bat Mitzvah of a close family friend and I can't wait. The only think I'm mad about is that this weekend is the big Homecoming football game here at KU, which unfortunately we probably won't win but it's gonna be a blast of a day (and night--STS9 is performing that night and I'm PISSSSSED that I can't see them play).

This outfit is one rendition of what I wear basically everyday to class. I live in jeans and comfy t-shirts and sweaters. I got this scarf at the Urban Outfitters sidewalk sale over the summer and I think it was less than $5. All unraveled and spread out it's literally the size of a twin sized blanket--OBSESSED.

The special thing about this particular T is that it was my dads in his senior year of high school. It's screen printed with  Peabody Lacrosse 1980 across the front and is so perfectly worn out and distressed.

I will leave you today with some rad tunes by the band I'm missing =( Hope you enjoy!

P.S. Anyone know a good site that I can find music links?

See: ALERT!

***ALERT! Awkward and uncomfortable faces shown in the following photos***

Denim shirt, faux fur vest, & pants: Forever21; Bag: Balenciaga; Shoes: Aldo

Whenever I'm attempting to accomplish something, whether it be writing a blog post, getting dressed, taking a test, even grocery shopping, I do this weird pouty thing with my mouth. Not a huge deal, I guess, except that I never realize I'm doing it unless it's captured on camera.  As you can see from the above pictures, I had more than outfit photos on my mind.

The difference between these pics and previous ones is that these photos were not shot by a human directly, rather with a remote and tripod (I realized that making my roommate take a picture of me every time I put on an outfit was getting irritating).  Not having read any directions for how to use these contraptions, I took them right outside my apartment to quickly shoot some pictures of the outfit I wore and then rushed out the door.  Probably should have looked at the photos before I left because this is what came of them: I was concentrating so hard on making sure that the remote worked (see my left hand) that I completely forgot I was supposed to be posing and definitely forgot that my freeeaking face would also be in the photos. Hence me standing there doing nothing and looking like a deer in the headlights sucking on a lemon drop.

Regardless of my appearance, you get to see what my new shoesies look like on! So comfortable and work with pretty much everything. I've worn them for three days straight and am loving the fact that they don't even need to be broken in, they're just naturally comfy!

Taste: Pizza Puffs

While Sundays bring connotations of homework, studying, and procrastination for most college students, for sports guys it's a bit different.  The NFL Sunday Ticket on Direct TV and other similar deals provoke hours and hours of pure football bliss and little to no movement by these diehard fans.  Because of this, I practically never see my boyfriend unless it involves me bringing him food. As a result from my addiction to Pintrest I have stockpiles recipes onto my "Food Porn" pinboard, and many of them are straight up comfort foods.

Sooooo, this Sunday I made my beloved and his friends these heavenly pizza creations.  Crazy easy to make and taste way too good. I lowered the bake time to 20 mins (probably because my oven isn't properly calibrated so it gets crazy hot) and they were fully cooked up gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside.  Perfect finger foods for kids, appetizers for a party, or--like I did--serve them on football Sunday.

See: cut offs

Hat: H&M; Shirt: vintage; Shorts: DIY thrifted Levi's cutoffs; Boots: JC Litas; Fanny pack: vintage

One of my favorite things to do is hack up jeans. I've been doing it since I was little and have gradually gotten better and better. Knowing that if I slash them here or there it will look grungy or hang a certain way is a skill I have come to possess. Trust me, I have had my fair share of mistakes, especially with jeans made out of a material I'm not familiar with.
I'm planning a few How-To segments coming up, should this be one of them?
I want your opinions, oh wise ones.
